A Panel of Religious Leaders will address “Challenges to Interreligious Understanding and Cooperation” at the Annual Meeting of the Network of Religious Communities, 6:00 pm Tuesday February 19th at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1080 Main Street, Buffalo, NY

The panel members include:
Rabbi Sara Rich, Executive Director, Hillel of Buffalo, April Arman, Director of Rahama, a Muslim Women’s Organization, Dr Vijay Chakravarthy of the Hindu Cultural Society, and Pastor Craig Pridgen, True Bethel Baptist Church.

The panel members will identify issues that complicate interreligious understanding and cooperation and together seek ways to overcome the divides that sometimes occur. Issues to be discussed will include language, culture, religious beliefs and practices, nationality, international alignments, misperceptions and more.

The annual meeting will begin with an Interfaith Dinner followed by an annual business meeting. The meeting will several brief reports, election of officers and trustees and the approval of a 2019 Annual Budget. The panel will be held following the short business meeting. The evening will adjourn by 9:00 pm.

The dinner is being catered by Jonny C’s and includes regular and vegetarian entrees. The cost of the dinner is $25.00 per person. Reservations are required.
